Brand expansion consultancy for the United States

Bring your brand to America.

We help international brands enter the United States with a strategy built around how Americans actually discover, trust and buy. Positioning, localization, retail and growth, handled by one team.

A brand that works in Madrid, Milan or Berlin does not automatically work in Miami, Austin or New York. That gap is where we work.

Services

Everything it takes to land, and to stay.

Six disciplines, one accountable team. Take the whole journey or the piece you're missing.

01

Market-Entry Strategy

A clear U.S. go-to-market: where you win first, at what price, through which channels, and what it costs to get there.

02

Positioning & Localization

We rebuild your story, voice and identity for American buyers, so the brand reads as native rather than translated.

03

Consumer & Competitive Research

Who your U.S. customer really is, who you're up against, and the white space you can own.

04

Retail & Distribution

Amazon US, DTC on Shopify, marketplaces and retail partnerships. We pick the routes to shelf and cart that your margins can actually carry.

05

Marketing & Growth

Paid media, PR, creators and lifecycle built for U.S. platforms and buying behavior, with metrics that matter.

06

Operational Landing

The unglamorous essentials: entity, logistics, payments and compliance, sequenced so that none of them blocks your launch date.

Ways to work together

Three ways in, depending on how far along you are.

Most companies start with the diagnostic and decide from there. Nothing obliges you to take the next step.

Every engagement is scoped and quoted individually. We put a number on it after the first conversation, once we know what we are actually solving.

Approach

A four-step path to the U.S.

Four stages, each ending in a decision. You know what you are committing to before you commit to it.

  1. 1

    Discover

We pressure-test your brand, your product-market fit and your readiness for the U.S., and we tell you if the answer is no.

  2. 2

    Position

We shape the American version of your brand: audience, message, price and channel.

  3. 3

    Launch

We stand up the go-to-market across retail, site, media and operations, and take it live.

  4. 4

    Scale

We read the data, double down on what works, and build the engine for growth.

Who we work with

Built for consumer brands crossing an ocean.

Our work fits companies that already have a product people buy at home, and now need it to work somewhere the rules are different. Typically between two and fifty people, with someone senior who owns the decision.

If you are pre-product or still looking for fit in your own market, we will tell you so and point you elsewhere. It saves everyone a quarter.

  • Food and beverage
  • Beauty and personal care
  • Fashion and accessories
  • Home and design
  • Wellness and supplements
  • Specialty retail
  • Design-led B2B products
  • Professional services scaling into the U.S.

Why Mofetty

One team that owns the whole crossing.

Most brands stall between deciding to enter the U.S. and actually being there. Closing that distance is the whole job.

  • Native, not translated. We build for how Americans buy, not a copy-paste of your home market.
  • Strategy that ships. Every recommendation comes with the plan to execute it.
  • One accountable partner. Strategy, brand, retail and growth under a single roof.
  • Measured on traction. We report against your U.S. numbers, not against deliverables shipped.

About

A small team built for one job.

Mofetty is a brand-expansion consultancy for companies ready to grow beyond their home market. We pair strategy with hands-on execution, so that entering the United States stops being a leap into the unknown and becomes a plan with dates on it.

We stay small on purpose: senior people on your account, direct communication, and decisions made in days rather than in committees.

What we do not do

  • We do not give legal, tax or immigration advice. We work alongside the specialists who do.
  • We do not take on brands with no traction at home. The U.S. will not fix that.
  • We do not sell retainers to companies that only need one decision made.
  • We do not white-label someone else's strategy team. The people you meet are the people who do the work.

Questions

What companies ask us first.

General guidance, not legal or tax advice. Your own advisers should confirm anything that carries a liability.

Do we need a U.S. company before we can sell anything?

Not always. Plenty of brands start by selling cross-border or through a marketplace without incorporating. Where a U.S. entity starts to matter is when you want a domestic bank account, cleaner payment processing, a wholesale relationship with a retailer who expects a domestic counterparty, or a layer of liability separation. We map which of those you actually need before you spend money on any of it.

How long does entering the U.S. really take?

From a standing start, ninety days is a realistic run to a live go-to-market if the product is ready and someone on your side can make decisions quickly. What stretches it is rarely strategy. It is packaging changes, label compliance, freight, and waiting on a retailer's calendar.

Should we start on Amazon or with our own site?

It depends on your margin and on how much the brand experience carries the sale. A marketplace buys you reach and demand data quickly, at the cost of margin and of owning the customer. Your own store keeps both, but you pay for every visitor. For most brands the answer is a sequence rather than a choice, and the order matters more than the decision itself.

What happens with sales tax?

The U.S. has no single national sales tax. Each state sets its own rules, and you generally acquire an obligation in a state once you cross its economic threshold in revenue or in number of transactions. Selling through a large marketplace shifts much of that collection onto the marketplace itself. Selling direct does not. This is one of the areas where we bring in a specialist rather than improvise.

Do we need a warehouse in the United States?

You need inventory close to the customer, which is not the same thing as owning a building. Most brands start with a third-party logistics provider or with a marketplace's own fulfilment network, and only revisit the question when volume makes the arithmetic change.

Will our European branding work as it is?

Rarely without adjustment. The product usually travels well. What needs work is the claim you lead with, the level of directness in the copy, the proof an American buyer expects to see before trusting a name they do not know, and the units and formats on the pack. This is most of what our positioning work consists of.

What does an engagement cost?

We scope and quote each engagement individually, because a diagnostic for a single-product brand and a full launch for a thirty-item range are not comparable pieces of work. The first conversation and the first read on your opportunity are free, and you get the number before you commit to anything.

Do you work with companies outside Europe?

Yes. Most of our work comes from European brands, but the problem we solve is the same for any company entering the United States from outside it. We work in English and Spanish.
